Piper Exhausts Supports Puretrack Racing

Puretrack Racing is a family owned and run Motorsport company, keeping at the very core its club racing ethos. Started in 2021 the company already had over 30 years’ experience in various areas of motorsport, from racing themselves to having motorsport technical training.

Seeing a gap in the market for track day customers, Puretrack started designing and producing their own range of high-end products, such as custom side mounts, front splitters, fire extinguisher mounts and a large collection of other components.

There was also a gap in the market for customers that wanted to experience the thrills of a track day, but didn’t have their own vehicles, nor had the knowledge on how to drive on a racetrack. Puretrack built three hire vehicles, which also doubled as race cars, for customers to drive a fully-fledged racer, with the support of full coaching and data logging if required.

In 2022, having helped a few customers obtain their racing licences through track days, they started to offer these drivers and new customers ‘arrive and drive’ racing packages in their Renault RS Clios, enabling those that had no experience and no where to store or maintain a race car the opportunity to still race.

The team has had much success over three seasons of racing, and now runs and prepares ten vehicles over various championships.
The fleet includes three Renault Clio RS 200s, one of which ran in the BRSCC Super Sport Endurance Race Series and finished 3rd in Class overall in its maiden season. The other two Clios ran in another series, BRSCC Clubsport. These are 45 minute races, where we saw the 200, piloted by Steve Harrison, dominate his class in every meeting.

Puretrack’s Renault 197 RS Clio has seen much success over the past three seasons, competing in the 750 Motorclub Enduro Race Series, and then the last two seasons joining one of the 200 Clios in the BRSCC Super Sport Endurance Cup where it was placed 4th in 2024. The 197 has also successfully completed three Race of Remembrance races with the best result being third, an outstanding achievement for the little Clio running 12 hours in all three events. They also won an award for the best prepared vehicle.

Two Renault Megane RSs have also shared much success in both Clubsport and Supersport. The latest Megane, driven by Matt Dennis, had a one-off race in the 2024 BRSCC Finsport Championship, where it took an early overall lead before unfortunately retiring due to a sensor issue, however it did show how much pace could be achieved when Powered by Piper.

All of the Renaults run by Puretrack run both Piper Exhaust Systems and Piper Cams to enhance their performance.

This season also saw Puretrack racing dip their toes into the highly competitive TOCA Paddock, where along with Piper, we had two races in a Mini JCW Race mini at Croft Circuit and were awarded with a podium on our very first event, whilst being watched by thousands live on ITV television.

The race team continues to grow each year, with more cars and more drivers joining in with our success.

2021- 1 Race – 1 podium
2022- 8 podiums
2023-14 podiums
2024- 21 Podium & 1 race win.
