A decat section is a straight pipe that replaces your car’s catalytic converter. It is done to enhance performance by reducing resistance in the exhaust system, it is however illegal to run a car on UK roads without a catalytic converter. Your vehicle will not pass an MOT without one and you could be fined for breaking emissions regulations.
